Bananas are great for athletic and fitness activity because they replenish necessary carbohydrates, glycogen and body fluids burned during exercise.

Tips and Warnings

Bananas are one of the few fruits that continue to ripe after it’s been picked.  If you don’t plan on eating them immediately, chose green ones and they will ripe in a few days.  After bananas are cut, they can turn brown.  To stop this from happening, brush each side of the banana with lemon, lime or orange juice.
